This elegant oval jardinière was hand-painted in France for Tiffany & Co. as part of their late-20th-century decorative home collection. Featuring a softly scalloped rim, integrated side handles, and a warm ochre floral pattern on a creamy white ground, the piece balances classical European form with understated vintage charm. The decoration is entirely hand-applied, with subtle variation in brushwork that gives the surface depth and character. The underside bears the original hand-written mark, “Hand Painted in France for Tiffany & Co.” along with the pattern/form number 5505, consistent with documented Tiffany decorative ceramics from this period.
Traditionally used as a table centerpiece or jardinière, this piece works beautifully filled with greenery, seasonal branches, or left empty as a sculptural object. It carries the quiet elegance Tiffany is known for, without feeling precious or formal.
