A charming and uncommon little Dickens group, comprising three miniature-style story booklets published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd. and retold for children by Russell Thorndike: Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities, and Little Nell. Each booklet is housed together in a later gray presentation folder, creating an appealing display set for the collector of children’s books, Dickensiana, or early 20th-century juvenile literature.

The graphics are wonderfully period, with bright illustrated wraps that retain their strong visual appeal. Small-format and easy to display, this is the sort of literary set that feels equally at home in a library, nursery shelf, or layered into a decorative book vignette.

Why We Love It
This set has all the charm collectors hope for: literary pedigree, vivid period cover art, petite scale, and a beautifully nostalgic format. The child-adapted Dickens angle makes it especially appealing, offering a glimpse into how classic literature was introduced to younger readers in the early 20th century.

Styling Notes
Wonderful styled on a bookshelf easel, tucked into a cabinet of curiosities, or displayed open in a library or guest room. Also a lovely gift for a Dickens reader, teacher, or collector of unusual illustrated books.
