Antique hand-painted porcelain chocolate pot with floral decoration and gilt trim. This elegant European porcelain chocolatière stands 11 inches tall and dates to approximately 1890–1920, reflecting the decorative style of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. Originally designed for serving drinking chocolate, the tall baluster form, curved handle, and lidded finial create a graceful silhouette. Hand-painted roses and trailing floral garlands decorate the ivory porcelain body, while warm gilt accents and raised enamel beading add depth and detail.  Unmarked examples like this were often produced using high-quality porcelain blanks and then decorated by artisan studios, commonly associated with French and German porcelain traditions of the period.
